Sports and Social

North Cave Sports and Social club is situated at the playing fields, with the main entrance opposite the church. Its purpose is to provide a focus for local sporting activities and social events.
The club's wider objective is to raise money in order to support and maintain the grounds (including the excellent children's play area), the cricket club, the football club and others. There is a well stocked and affordably priced bar, Sky Sports TV and a pool table. Membership is just £5 a year.
The club is run by a committee of about 20 people, elected annually from within the local community and sports clubs - meetings are held about every six weeks.
Each year we hold two major fund raising events being Bonfire Night and the Village Fair both of which attract large crowds. We also have many other things going on throughout the year - see the social club's entertainments page for current details. In addition, there are regular nights for bingo, a quiz, pool, darts etc.
The club and bar are open Wednesday to Sunday from 8:00p.m. Friday and Saturday have a late licence until 2.00 a.m. The bar is also open Monday and Tuesday evenings depending on club events.
